英语的cycle中的cy读[sai]，法语读[si]。
法语中的辅音字母c在前元音e、i、y前读[s]，否则读[k]。

事实上，家长朋友只要帮助孩子坚持通过了解词源记单词，他们都可以很轻松地读懂英语原版的教材。
请看清华大学版小学二年级英语教材下册的截图。
如果家长朋友了解-ture是法语名词后缀，源自拉丁语的-tura，就很容易理解记忆英语单词picture的重点是pic-。
英语至少有433个单词用到-ture。小朋友至少应该熟练掌握nature（自然），culture（文化），feature（特征）。也就顺便熟悉一下future（将来），它源自拉丁语的be动词esse的将来分词。
比较cycle（周期，循环），bicycle（自行车），tricycle（三轮车），我们会发现：bi-表“二”，tri-表“三”。
现在您就会明白：triangle由tri-表“三”，和angle表“角”组成。
